An Important Note Before Choosing Dental Care in Vietnam
A Letter to Our Patients
Dear Valued Patient,
The East Rose Dental sincerely thanks you for considering dental treatment in Vietnam.
Vietnam is home to many skilled dentists and reputable dental providers. We are proud to see a growing number of local patients, overseas Vietnamese and international patients choosing Vietnam for dental care and treatment.
At the same time, we believe every patient should receive enough information to make an informed, appropriate and verifiable decision, particularly when considering complex or long term treatments such as dental implants, full mouth rehabilitation, dental crowns, bridges, root canal treatment or oral surgery.
For this reason, we would like to share several important points to consider before choosing where to receive dental treatment.
The information below is intended as general guidance to help patients understand what they may wish to verify and which questions they should ask before making a treatment decision.
If another dental provider has the appropriate professional qualifications, operates transparently and responsibly, and is better suited to your individual needs, we fully respect that choice.
Do Not Choose Dental Care Based on Price Alone
A lower price does not necessarily mean lower quality. Likewise, a higher price does not automatically guarantee a better treatment outcome.
However, two treatment plans that appear similar on a quotation may differ considerably in practice.
Differences may include the dentist performing the treatment, professional qualifications, diagnostic approach, brands and origins of dental materials, what is actually included in the treatment plan, quality control procedures, sterilization standards, treatment documentation, warranty policies and responsibility for follow up care.
Before making a decision, The East Rose Dental recommends that patients clearly verify the following:
- Who will directly perform the treatment?
- Whether the treating dentist has the appropriate professional qualifications and scope of practice for the proposed procedure.
- The exact brand and type of dental implant, ceramic, zirconia, crown, abutment, bone graft material or other dental materials that will be used.
- Whether the brand, manufacturer and origin of these materials can be clearly identified and traced.
- Whether relevant documentation will be provided, such as implant information, product labels, warranty information or appropriate traceability records.
- Whether the proposed treatment plan is based on a clinical examination, dental X rays, CT imaging and other necessary diagnostic information.
- Whether your medical history, general health and potential risk factors that could affect treatment have been properly assessed.
- What sterilization and infection control procedures are followed.
- How warranty, follow up and aftercare are managed.
- Who will provide support if a problem or complication develops after you return home or leave Vietnam.
For international patients, these questions are particularly important because the effects of dental treatment may continue to influence oral health, chewing function and quality of life for many years after leaving Vietnam.
When Another Dental Provider Offers a Significantly Different Price
Rather than comparing only the final figures on two quotations, patients should compare treatment plans carefully, item by item.
A useful question to ask is:
Are these truly equivalent treatment plans, performed by dentists with comparable professional qualifications, using comparable materials from clearly identified sources, and supported by the same level of diagnosis, documentation, quality control, warranty and aftercare?
Sometimes the difference is not simply the price.
The difference may be found in what is actually included in the treatment, the materials selected, the experience of the treating dentist, the depth of diagnostic assessment, infection control procedures, responsibility when complications occur and the level of support available after treatment has been completed.
For this reason, patients should ask for a clear explanation of each component of a treatment plan before making their final decision.
We Invite You to Verify The East Rose Dental as Well
The East Rose Dental does not expect patients to simply accept what we say about ourselves.
We welcome questions and encourage patients to understand their treatment before making a decision.
You may ask us:
- Who will directly examine and treat me?
- Does the dentist have appropriate experience and professional expertise for my condition?
- What materials will be used during my treatment?
- What are the brand, manufacturer and origin of those materials?
- Why has this treatment plan been recommended?
- Are there alternative treatment options?
- What are the potential benefits, limitations and risks?
- What treatment records, product information, labels or warranty documents will I receive?
- How will The East Rose Dental provide follow up care after treatment?
- How will responsibility for my treatment be managed if a concern arises later?
Patients are welcome to use these same questions to evaluate The East Rose Dental and compare us with other dental providers in Vietnam.
We do not ask patients to believe our statements without question.
We encourage patients to verify the information they receive.
The Responsibility of Dental Professionals
Our responsibility as dental professionals is not to persuade every patient to choose The East Rose Dental.
Our responsibility is to provide accurate information, explain each patient's oral condition clearly, present appropriate treatment options and give patients a sound basis for making decisions that protect their oral health, long-term wellbeing and financial interests.
If another qualified and reputable dental provider is more appropriate for a patient's condition, needs or circumstances, we fully respect that decision.
Before beginning treatment, patients should understand:
- Who will be directly responsible for their care.
- What treatment they will receive.
- What materials will be placed in their mouth or body.
- Why the recommended treatment is considered appropriate.
- What alternative options may be available.
- What potential long term effects and risks should be considered.
- Who will remain responsible for providing support after treatment.
Dental treatment should not be selected solely by comparing numbers on a quotation.
A treatment decision should consider professional qualifications, appropriate diagnosis, treatment quality, transparency, material traceability, professional responsibility, infection control and long term care.
Helping Patients Make Informed and Verifiable Decisions
By making this information publicly available, our intention is to help patients gain enough knowledge to recognize important factors, verify relevant information and make an informed decision that protects their oral health, long term wellbeing and financial interests.
Dental treatment can have consequences that extend far beyond the day a procedure is completed.
A dental implant may remain in the body for many years.
A crown or bridge must continue to function under daily chewing forces.
A complex full mouth rehabilitation may require ongoing maintenance and professional follow up.
For international patients, these considerations become even more important because future care may eventually be provided by another dentist in another country.
For that reason, the value of dental treatment should not be judged only by what happens during the patient's stay in Vietnam.
It should also be considered in terms of the quality of the diagnosis, the transparency of the materials used, the documentation provided and the responsibility demonstrated after treatment.
Transparency and Responsibility Can Strengthen Confidence in Dentistry in Vietnam
Through transparent, responsible and ethical practice, The East Rose Dental also hopes to contribute to protecting the reputation of dentistry in Vietnam, strengthening confidence among local and international patients and supporting a positive image of Vietnam.
We believe that when dental providers communicate clearly, recommend treatment based on appropriate indications, use traceable materials and remain responsible for long term treatment outcomes, patients can feel more confident when considering dental care in Vietnam.
For international patients, every treatment experience contributes not only to their perception of one dental provider but also to their broader impression of dental care in Vietnam.
Professional standards, transparency and long term responsibility therefore matter beyond an individual treatment.
They contribute to the trust that international patients place in Vietnam as a destination for dental care.
Take Time to Ask Questions Before Making Your Decision
Before making a final decision, take the time to ask questions, review the information provided and understand your treatment plan.
Most importantly, make your decision only when you feel that you have sufficient information to understand and evaluate the proposed treatment.
Your oral health, your overall wellbeing, your financial interests and your future deserve careful consideration.
Do not choose dental care based on price alone. Choose based on information you can understand and verify.
Warm regards,
The East Rose Dental Team
